Rejections
I keep a spreadsheet of all the stories I send out and track rejections from the beginning of the year. So far this year the running number is 17 as of this date. Two slightly positive rejections out of that lot. One story, “A Pit of Unicorn Ashes,” made it through the first round of readings but ultimately didn’t get accepted. Still think it is a good story and it is out there under consideration with another magazine. Making slow progress on the latest novel and revising the first to send it out again to agents.
Meanwhile, another school shooting, this time in TN. When are we going to realize, as a nation, that we have been pushed into a place of fear, we’ve been told that we will be victims unless we have guns to protect our families. It is a lie. We don’t.
